LOVE ....... butterflies, electricity or simply the word itself?

LOVE!!!          A word that means different things to different people. Some get bitten by its bug at first sight, some much later, while some never even sight it in a million live times. I once knew someone who believed that when you love someone, you argue like old couples but have fun like teenage besties.          A lot of people mix love with lust or obsession. My definition of lust is pure animal attraction to beauty and sex appeal, while that of obsession is a compulsive emotion whereby a person's feelings and thoughts are controlled by a desire. A fair amount of us over think and analyse love. We are ruled by society's ideals and beliefs on what love means, what it should be and how it should feel. We need to relax and realize that   " love is just love "

THE PLIGHT OF THE MIDDLE CLASS

<----------- Rich Family Middle Class Family ----------->    The glaring variance between the poor and the rich dates back to prehistoric times. The rich were kings, nobles, dukes, lady royals and members of the court, while the poor were farmers, herdsmen, and slaves. Nowadays, the disparity isn't as obvious, as we now have the " Middle Class ". This are people I refer to as the " unclassified " or " social misfits " in the society. They are called the middle class because they are neither rich nor poor. I call them "unclassified" because they neither belong to the upper nor lower class. They are "social misfits" because though they don't fit in with the " big boys ", they will strongly remind you that they are better off than those beneath them. They are said to be " comfortable ".        Some have said that the rich have more compassion (on the poor) than the middle cl

THE TIME IS NOW!!!

IT'S CLOSER THAN YOU THINK       The fact that we no longer cringe at the news of mass murder is frightening as it has become the norm for people to die everyday. We just pray that no one we know and love is as unlucky. We offer sympathy and condolences from the safety of our homes. But please take a moment to think about those unbelievers who have passed away and their opportunity for eternal life forever lost. Scary init?  I just want to remind everyone to please be prepared for the RAPTURE . We all go about our daily activities: going to work, running around to make ends meet, going to school, visiting friends etc, but its imperative that we don't forget why God sent us here . Its not too late to change course and board the ship sailing to eternal life in Heaven. Ask for Gods mercy and pass the message on. May we all be given the strength to keep our fire burning till HE arrives and lonnnnnnnnng after that. AMEN.

THE POPULAR SUBJECT OF DEBATES: Why Do Black Men Date White Women; Love or Insecurity?

Why do Black men date White women?   As a Nigerian female based overseas, I am asked this question all the time. Debates, arguments and hostile discussions have risen, but no one has really answered the question or enlightened society as to why this happens. Thankfully, it seems like some people have decided to come forward to finally put this quest to rest. I came across this article on Facebook written to a magazine called Sister 2 Sister by a Caucasian woman who wanted to air her views and have her questions answered. Hopefully it answers all your questions. Enjoy . PS: This post is not intended to hurt or offend any race or gender. It is also not written as a racial snide or for the purpose of racism. Please note that it was copied directly from a post on Facebook to set the record straight. Read with an open mind, thanks.   [It seems that an article was written to Sister 2 Sister magazine by a Caucasian woman who requested a response from black men. I'm so glad she go
A TRIBUTE TO FALLEN STARS                                          At the beginning of the year 2013, Nigerians were shaken by the sudden death of upcoming actress Bisi Komolafe. The young and talented actress' death came as a shock to all. Questions about her death arose and condolences were sent to her friends and family. While a few were still trying to come to terms with her sudden departure, death it seems wasted no time in striking another blow; its effect felt by not only Nigeria, but all of Africa. Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, popularly known as " Goldie " has been reported dead. The news of the pop star's death broke on Valentine's Day, shortly after her return from a trip to the Grammy's in America. Goldie was a sweet and good natured person. She was referred to as " The African Lady Gaga " because of her unique sense of style. She will be remembered by Africa as a formidable contestant in the reality show
